Description

Last of her kind, she wonders what will become of her world. It all seems to have happened in a blink of an eye, and before she knew it, all the others were gone. Without any sign or warning, they would loose their wings and then themselves in madness. One by one they fell into darkness. The oldest and wisest could not answer why. They could not answer how, and they too perished. From her home high up in the clouds, she looks over the vast beauty, all vibrant colours of life, she cannot help but feel touched by such wonder, even after all this time. Remembering how she used to soar through the skies, and feel exactly the same. Feeling the warmth of the Sun Mother high above or grazing the treetops and feel the coolness from the Forest Father below. Her time has come now, her wings have let go. It won't be long till the darkness comes. One last look at the Sun Mother and the Forest Father, and then the last of the wardens will fall. All the birds and insects, the mammals and the reptiles, all stop and look up in silence as the last of the butterflies falls. Not sure why I had deleted this one.. just wanted to get it back up :)

In addition to being a great artist you really should be the head of the art department for a 3d magazine because your eye is phenomenal. This image could easily be a cover, a poster.... you're awesome. :)

Lovely render and camera angle. I love the feeling of height in this as well as her expression and pose. I think the story that accompanies this is brilliant. Deeply sad and amazingly creative! Love it!
