Ok so here's our 1954 Ford Thames E494C van at long last... (it's a Fordson 5cwt or Anglia Panel Van if you're in the US, SA or Australia)
We are off to the NSRA(UK)Supernationals this weekend, however we'll be getting there in our PT Cruiser as the van has to arrive by trailer... Boo hiss, you all say and rightly so! The truth is we've run out of time to get it road legal for the event!
Gail and I are really pleased with the fit and finish as it's just what we wanted, 'gasser style' but with arrow straight steel bodywork and a kool paintjob.
Carl is the 'Rodfather' who's completed the build up to get it this far.
We're really pleased with how it looks, but it's now so close to being roadworthy that I really, really just want to be able to get in and drive it.
It's a long story but this vehicle was last driven on the road back in July 1986 and it's been in bits ever since. That's too long and now it's time to put the pedal to the metal and set it free again!
