BIO
For around 20 years I was a professional wedding and portrait photographer winning a couple of Kodak awards but turned to landscapes about a year ago in 2005.In my wedding days I shot on a Bronica 6 x 6 format but my camera now is a Nikon D100 and I feel that digital and Photoshop opened a whole mew world to us guy's and gals. I am based in the UK moving from the south to lancashire at the end of 2005.
So its now 2009..long time since I updated my bio.
Now shoot on a Nikon D200 and process my work through Photoshop CS3.
Been to a lot of places since moving north.Three times to Scotland..going again in September 2009.
Had a week in Snowdonia..brilliant place....cant say the same for the weather we had.Ventured down to Devon...been for a week in Northumbria..had a glorious week on the North Yorkshire coast.Walked miles around the lake district in Cumbria.
Been to west Yorkshire no end of times and that's just the places I can recall.
Tried and tried to improve my photography which if any one looks thru my gallery back to the early days may agree that it has come a long way.
So many places still to see in the UK.We must have some of the loveliest places on earth to photograph here..there will never be enough time.Â

Lot's to say about this: 1. Well Done to your lady, she must be a real trooper! Although I am the same age I don't have enough puff any more, lost half a lung in 2003, and a fungus living in the other half. 2. Well done to you re smoking. I gave up for my millenium project, so it is over 11 years. 3.I don't do Facebook or Twitter, too busy having an Actual as opposed to a Virtual life, RR and Flickr take up quite enough time, but at least it is all photo/art related. and 4. Last but most importantly..an excellent and slightly asthma-inducing photo!

Awesome shot.

What a marvelous view and shot! Congrats on the nonsmoking, I never started it, having two parents who puff like chimneys. And I have a facebook account but never go there, and absolutely refuse to even consider twitter!

Good going! Keep up the long walks and keep off the smokes! Remember it only takes one to get right back on them. I've been free of smoking for 18 years now but can only dream about a six-mile walk. It's good that you do this together too. I only recently started FaceBook again because I had to in order to reach some of the models I have worked with. They check FB every three minutes but their emails about once a week, if that. When it's all said and done I don't really understand BookFace.

wow! you two are both inspiring! not only are you doing wonderful things with your artistic talent, you're dedicating a good portion of your day to relishing the world around you. i think we'd all be happier and healthier if we did the same.

Excellent! I've been in the same area myself for the last two days. I'll post a shot soon. I'm equally happy without facebook or twitter in my life.

Oh, I missed this one. Glad to see and hear about your wife. Also about the smokes...after this much time, you should be successfully trained to say "no" to yourself. Well done. Give the dog a bone! Facebook and Twitter? Like durley said, real life vs. virtual. I certainly wish you would post a snap shot of yourself. You've been such a generous and helpful person to me, I feel you're a friend, but I just can't quite 'picture' you! Delightful to imagine the two of you tromping across the landscape there.
