Description
From a few weeks, Etna is doing the "whims"! Days ago, tremors, rumbles and lava explosions have enlivened our nights! Lapilli and ash fell on villages below the volcano... luckily, my house was spared!
Now it seems to be quieter... hopefully good!
Unfortunately I have no photos of explosions at night ... my camera was unloaded... this I shot the morning of July 25.
Excuse the imperfect quality of image... I zoomed as much as possible to resume the flow of lava, I hope you manage to see it!
I wish you all a happy Sunday! :)

Beautiful image! Congratulations for it being in the LWIG! I see an orange tint beneath the smoke near the mountainside. Wonderful capture of all that smoke! I hope the ash and lapilli stay away!

Intriguing. This is the first time I've visited your gallery. I like what I see very much. Well done.

I can see the fountaining of lava erupting. I can imagine the river of lava flowing fast with the steepness of the Mountain. We had some flows moving about 50 mph and your mountain is even steeper. Glad you are safe. Aloha

Afraid I couldn't see the flows even after zooming the picture. Still a spectacular shot, though! How far away from Etna is your house, anyway?
