Description

In 1986 Taito unleashed a game called "Arkanoid" which was based on Atari's 1970 game "Breakout". The success of Arkanoid meant that, many conversions would be made for consoles and home computers of that era. Here is my modern interpretation from the Amiga version of Arkanoid, based on the title screen.

I've always enjoyed the game (and its sequel), even though I'm not very good at it. Some of the clones aren't a problem, though.

I loved the crisp graphics and the crisp minimal sound that went along with the game.

First, this is a great image! I love recreating stuff like this! Even when it looks simple, it usually is a lot more tricky than it looks. I love it! Second, this was a great game! I played this in college and I thought there was a lot of really great creativity by the guys who made it. I think that programmers who come up with great games should get great money! I hope they did. Nice job!
