Description
At last they reached their destination, a planet JS hoped to make their home.
"We're so excited that we got there, Eve!" her mother exclaimed. "I cannot wait to land!"
Eve couldn't help but turn her gaze and her mother realized the truth: "We don't land right now, don't we?"
Eve shook her head: "Jay is organizing scouting teams. The stars told him - when he was connected to Vickie, do you remember? - OK, the stars said there are no inhabitants on the planet, but he wants to be sure."
"Why?" someone asked looking at the turquoise sphere and the two moons courting it.
"We don't steal planets!" Eve exclaimed indignantly, "let alone conquer them!"
The discussion continued in the mess.
"All peoples conquer planets, why not us?" Laetitia was puzzled.
"I think it's a wise decision!" Lee said, "not to conquer a planet, I mean."
"Civilians!" Vasquez and Flotsam grinned, "however, we are ready, just in case the boss gives the order."
While frustration increased significantly, quarrels rose accordingly.
"I can't keep them at bay. Jay, you'd better hold a speech." Eve stated.
JS's speech was concise: "This planet is similar both to Shishfirr and the Earth, with wide oceans and continents in temperate latitudes. A mild climate and clean atmosphere. Nothing is more evolved than monkeys. However, it's a living planet, there are predators. So it won't be all roses."
There was a buzz in the room.
"How can you be sure there's no civilization?" many asked.
"I got this intelligence from the stars. Anyway to stay on the safe side, we're scanning the planet before landing. There is always the possibility that someone else discovered this planet and want to get it for themselves. For now, I only found ruins of the old BAR empire's buildings. There are no settlers, but a pirates' base or worse may be hidden somewhere."
"While waiting, we could find the planet a name!" O'Malley said.
They all threw themselves into the discussion.
The days passed and reports were always the same: neither presence of civilization nor intelligent species.
"Eve?" JS asked.
"I don't feel anything, and you? You're stronger than me after your contact with the stars."
"Total silence," he confirmed. "OK, we can land."
"The ships have a request." Vickie stepped in. "A very ancient ship is phasing out. Please, conjure her. Her last wish is to have people on board and that her remains, as a testament, will be the first new town in this planet."
"But of course!" Eve said, "How gracious of her!"
"How many ships are there in Nowhere?" JS asked.
"Ten. Two battleships, two auxiliaries, two cruise ships, three cargos and a space-station." Etta's answer.
JS nodded thoughtful, then smiled: "I do more than that, I'll summon them all!"
"All of them? It's wonderful!" Vickie and Etta exclaimed.
Two days later JS, Eve and the civilian delegates landed on the plain chosen to place their city. JS drew his sword 'Nowheregate' and conjured Shira, the ancient ship.
Shira landed with grace penetrating into the ground deeply. Like a flower, she opened all her decks and bays to the shining sun and a magnificent city appeared.
That same night, their first real night on the planet, watching the city spread out around them, Eve asked JS: "We're still on the high seas for the name of the planet, any suggestion?"
JS laughed and kissed her: "Pie In The Sky, what else!"
Meanwhile the news of Maurr's absence was on all the breaking news. The Rogue Ambassador protested strongly but ineffectively. Maurr had vanished. Faced by the Blue Mantles' representatives, the admiral expressed his regret:
"I'm very sorry, but you should begin the regency."
On Regulus 8, Puhrr, Maurr's betrothed, was having a bad shit-fit.
"Disappeared? how can it be!" she screamed. "I'll rot here for years, while my cousins marry the possible heirs! Couldn't he drop dead, that idiot? I won't end among the Forgotten Fiancées, I swear!"
Maurr, in the meantime...

How wonderful to have the ancient ship, Shira be the first city and to feel the presence of people in her rooms and hall again. Details such as this add great richness to your story. I felt myself being more closely tied to the story through this life, which in its closing moments gave and received from the community. Very interesting interaction in the beginning of the story, between those who feel it is their right to take, and those who do not. Puhrr looks to be an interesting character. I'm curious how she and Maurr will get on, should they ever have the opportunity. Excellent image. I like the blue tones and composition with Eve and JS in the corner and the city stretched out behind them.
