Description

While perhaps superceded these days by advances in communication, the International Code of Signals had signals for almost all occasions, though you've got to wonder how many times "Charlie Hotel Two" was used. "Spaceship is down... and requires assistance." Carrying this thought to its logical conclusion of course requires a "spaceship recovery vessel" and various items of kit to aid recovery of... ahem "satellite debris." Enter the fictitious and massively controversial USS Enewetak Atoll, which I imagine as a re-lifed Tarawa-class LHA and the CH46 Sea-Knights of HXX-1 Squadron or "Phoenix Squadron." I imagine that before Phoenix Squadron switched recently to Knighthawks, its "Phrogs" put in sterling, but of course entirely unsung, service cleaning "junk" from the world's oceans. The great thing about falling "debris" of course is that its dangerous and no doubt radioactive- so of course there will be a tight cordon of ships preventing any unauthorised entry into the splashdown area, ... now isn't that convenient? I rendered this piece of crazy Transformers meets MIB paranoia in Vue 8 Espirit, mostly as an excursion for the re-modelled CH46 I just exported from Shade 10.5. I did the modified-LHA a while ago in Shade 7 or 8. I think I got the Arleigh-Burke class destroyer model from a 3D-World issue last year. Together they make the beginnings of a nice little task force... Thanks for viewing...

Oh a splendid bit of 'fiction', a pity such things could never really happen.... Love the copter and as you say a nice little task force, though I think you should get someone to cut the grass on the carriers deck...it's getting out of hand :-)
