Description
I decided that if A_Sunbeam and marineguy were brave enough to post their military pictures of old, then I should follow suit... or uniform, as the case may be. I couldn't find my basic training photo to scan, so had to settle for one that is a little more recent, although still a while back. I did Photoshop the scratches and pops from the scanned picture as best I could, and of course I changed the name on the name tag before posting it just for fun. :)
I hope this ugly mug doesn't break anyone's computer monitor. :)))

Sorry to ask a silly question, but why did you have to change the name tag? Privacy...or is it a rule when you are in the military? Sorry if that is stupid question. Andrew

Nice outfit - everyone seems to have posher outfits than I did, but then the stuff I had was new towards the end of the war, and the webbing was, I think, 1st WW!

A wonderful... ehm suppressed smile! Nice outfit with an impressive "barcode"! :)

A big thank you to everyone for your great comments. I'm sure glad I didn't damage anyone's computer equipment. :) Hubert: "barcode" ROFL! I never heard accommodation ribbons called that before, I love it. When trying to put them together properly I called them several other words over the years, which I wont repeat. :)))) A_Sunbeam: I think your uniform was good, the less you have to put on it, the less likely you are to have someone yell at you for not having everything just perfect during inspections. :) I know what you mean about the old equipment though, I remember eating C-rations on combat training maneuvers in the early 1980's that were dated July 1955!

I hated my dress blues picture. Back in 1970 I looked like a dork the Air Force didn't take the best pictures. Funny I just tossed out my uniform yesterday, I did try to put it on and now way it fit. Gaining 40 lbs will tend to do that.
