Description

I don't know how people create large images and maintain quality within the size limits. I am baffled and frustrated - as you can see this image, like yesterday's, lost quality and has the blurred look. This image is gorgeous in its original size, but way too big and bulky to upload. If anyone knows the secret of 'small and crisp and clear' I'd appreciate the sharing. :))) Outfit is Horizon Redux (DAZ).

what I do is if there is not much postwork, I render one small size for renderosity such as 1000 pixels, render it in good quality settings then render again a larger size , but tha tis if you plan on using larger size elsewhere or sell as prints, other wise you just waste your time... I did put in a request at renderosity a little while ago to increase the file size limit, the answer I got back was they are not going to do it due to lots of uploads.... Well in our day most servers have unlimited file space...so why not increase it?

When I've done images that are originally well over 1 or 2 meg in size I run it through GIMP, just saving it at a lower percentage until it fits the 512k limit. Haven't noticed any real loss of quality when I've done that, either.
