Description

Portmeirion, near Penrhyndeudraeth, north Wales, is an Italianate village built more or less as a folly by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, architect and town planner. It was used as the set for Patrick McGooghan's 1967 spy thriller, "The Prisoner".
