Description
The title is kinda' what happened to me yesterday.
The hail was speeding down in sheets. Couldn't even see through it was so thick & lasted for quite a while. Tons of rain & the wind was so bad I was looking for the funnel cloud.
I was washing out a bucket in the tub for, you guessed it, my leaking roof I spent over $600 to get patched, & as I touched the faucet to turn it on, metal, of course, lightning hit my bathroom roof & traveled down the pipes to zap the **** out of me. My arm feels like the bone is fried.
My dogs are still scared. Fire on the roof put out quickly by the flooding rain.
I thought it was pretty cool, 'cept for the roof & the strike. Oh! And when I turned on my pc when it was over, I zapped the desktop & had to restart the pc 3 times before windows would come in right. The hair was standing up on my arms for hours. Lol!
Not the first time. I was struck full in the back the night I moved to the high desert. My ears still ring after 25 years.

Your Tuesday sounds really bad, but so glad your PC wasn't fried. Let's hear it for the big gals.....I love this, mainly because it's so non-typical, but also because a keen sense of humor shows through in the small touches. Very interesting (and well-executed) work.

Hope your arm feels better soon! Sounds like you need a grounding rod, somewhere far far from your house, maybe it would strike there instead on poor little you!! Excellent work with the face textures and great looking character!

Hey, you don't need a house girl, you need a fekkin' bunker! I've been electrocuted twice and hit by lighting (the ground splash) once. That pretty much sucked ass all around I'd have to say! Yeah, maybe some rubber shoes are in order.

Nothing louder than a very direct lighting strike, I've never been hit myself but have had them come to ground within 50 feet or so, it'll make your eardrums bleed and beg for mercy! Glad you're OK, have you checked to see if your heart's beatin' right still??

Well my Tuesday was much more boring than your eventful day. I do hope your arm will come right again. What a scary experience to have. An excellent image and maybe you need to carry a long stick like this to ground the next lightning. I do hope your roof can be fixed before the next rain.
