Wonderful lighting render and super, intense expression on the lion's face. [it does better as a kind of toy lion come alive, 'though, as the facial hair is somewhat too long and the mane has the look of just having come from having a haircut - very cute too! The mane and face hair would be of different tints even if it was a blond lion] nevertheless I have the urge to give him a big hug, 'though he be quite fierce-looking.

Nicely done. I actually hate the Carrara's dynamic hair ! It's a pain to use... But seeing the results you achieved, guess need patience to do it step by step...

Very nice! I think some more variation in color and hair length could make it even more realistic. I often put bump map into hair lengths shader (might have to brighten the bump map first, though, if it is too dark, or it will shorten the hairs too much) and also make color texture-driven in both roots and tips, and darken the roots map. It really helps with fur effects.
