Description

This is the same spot as the other Warden-Point-Isle-of-Sheppey pictures but looking the other way, the concrete thing on the beach is a gun emplacement left over from WW2 and would have been on the cliffs but erosion has taken its toll and left it not fit for purpose. The beach by the way is mainly mud at this point.

I can only imagine the terror of the war and what went on there

Great shot Alan! So this bunker slid down that hill and is still in one piece. It had to have been up there almost 70 years. We don't build them like they did way back then. Dana

A great air of depression about this shot. The red sign is perfectly placed!
