Description

I called this one mixed emotions because I am real glad that I got to take this picture at the zoo the other day but on the other hand this poor beautiful animal was just sitting by the glass doing nothing just looking out into nowhere and on occasion looking up at the people standing on the outside of the glass looking at him. Really no matter how many trees you put in the cage for him to climb on or how much fruit you give him it is really no different than giving a man life in prison for doing nothing wrong at all. I hope everyone appreciates how beautiful he is anyway Randy

A superb capture Randy. The B&W is a perfect choice. I agree with you but ape populations in the wild have become so stressed by relentless poaching and corrupt officials that the day is fast approaching when a zoo will be the only place you can see one of these magnificent creatures.

I hate to see anything caged at all and it is horrible but with all the pouching that goes on if we didn't cage some of them and care for them they would not even exist today also because of man great shot u got of this big one but we must look at both sides which i hate doing either one of them.
