Description

A photovoltaic power plant near Botrugno (Le-Italy), one of the many recently installed in this zone. Also the just-launched Juno spacecraft will use solar energy, even though light near Jupiter will be a lot weaker than here... Good luck, Juno!

This is a gorgeous shot! I love captures of the modern world presented with such beauty as this! The lines are amazing as are the colors! I love that there are photovoltaic power sources popping up in various parts of the world; there was a rumor of plans to construct a solar panel "farm" near the southern edge of Chicago...if that happens, then the southern edge of Chicago will finally become an interesting place. Great image, and I love the nodding reference to Juno...it's amazing how space probes can function in the far reaches of our solar system with solar power, no less...
