I use three lights for most of my work and almost always do multipass renders. The first key light pass is light(1) with shadows. The second diffuse light pass, drop the shadows and add light(2) with 25% intensity and no shadows as well. The third fill light pass drop light(1). The forth back light pass is light(3) with no shadows. Save each render in (.tif) format and remove the alpha channel in photoshop. Paste each one into a new layer, starting with the first render in order. This way you can adjust each light as you see fit, without having to render the whole scene again. Even without this technique, your elf character is amazing and eloquently done. Great render. 5/5
