Description
A fond memory of a couple of summers I spent up in the Hebrides (Scotland) , in this isolated cottage by the sea, with a beautiful view over Staffa island (known for its steep cliffs made of basalt columns), off the little harbour of Bunessan, on the isle of Mull. Please zoom !

What gorgeous scenery! The cottage must of been a great place for r&r. The smell of the sea and the outstanding view of the cliffs sounds like a wonderful place to visit. The barren landscape with the flowered thistles outside the cottage adds to the beauty. Thanks for sharing !!

Beautifully composed Jean-Luc. I would have thought it somewhere in the Mediterranean, but am not surprised to see it was on the Isle of Mull. I saw palmetto trees in Ullapool, at nearly 56 degrees north.

as always, I'm way behind. My apologies. My favorite flowers seem to be weeds, I love thistles, I adore dandelions, I won't go on, LOL. This is simply a beautiful portrait of the Thistle Plant!
