Description
To get this effect, after render, save in .tif format. Open in photoshop and duplicate background layer. Delete original background layer and work fron the new rastorized one. Go to select/load selection/channel/alpha1. Now go to select/inverse, then edit/cut. This will get rid of the background color from the render. Use the magic wand to select the sword blade and paste it into a new layer. Since this is a drow weapon I filled the selection with black(rgb 0/0/0) before adding effects. Now go to filter/blur/gaussian blur. I set the radius at 2.0 for this application. Proceed to layer/layer style/outer glow. Opacity 100%, rgb 206/206/246, spread 10%, size 10px. And finally to layer/layer style/inner glow. Opacity 100%, rgb 255/255/255, spread 5%, size 5px. This will give your heros blade a nice enchantment all the monsters will fear, hehehe. Enjoy, -Arakas

Ditto - thanks for the tutorial on this effect. It looks very impressive! Shandara looks as good as ever. Guess she likes those enchanted blades. It's always nice to have a little help slicing through those thick Orkz hides, eh?
