Description

this sign is along the Washougal River Greenway - Western section and is along the boardwalk over the wetalnds area. it is also 8 1/2 feet from ground to top in height. this puts it about 6 feet high in relation to the boardwalk. As you can see, it is covered in mud. this gives you an idea of how deep the river was at the height of the high water. Along the path, there are the edges where the water stopped. I'll post pictures of those spots later on. As I may have stated before, this is the first time in decades that we have had the rivers this high. In fact, the last time I saw them this high was when I was in High School (prior to 1970) Have a great day Mike ps thanks for all the comments and faves - I do appreciate them

Marvelous capture Mike. Excellent way to show how bad the flooding was. . Yesterday Richard posted a pic of a riverbed that has almost totally dried up, to show how bad the drought is down in texas. Both of them are signs of extremes in weather

Water, a source primordia. But when the temperature is from his own. Evil swells the banks and people's lives collide. But hey .. my friend made a suggestive ((5 + +)) L'eau ,une source primordiable . Mais quand la température fait des siennes . Le mal gonfle les rives et percutent la vie des gens . Mais bon .. une prise évocatrice mon ami ((5++))

That is a lot of water! The state I was born in, ND, is still getting too much rain! Very unusual for them. They can't get their farming done because of it. Sink holes swallow equipment. Rain soaks the hay, and on and on and on! I was thinking of heading back there to help my nephew with harvest but it looks like that won't happen now. Crazy world and crazier times we live in!
