Those eyes! Those welcoming green eyes I had forgotten how warm they could be Across the table .. Surrounded by friends What is it? That look! In the past I'd have melted In that stare How long ago was that? Now . . . again Those eyes Those same green eyes. —T. R. BolanYeah .. I'm back with you .. once again. It's comforting to know some places in the world yet remain a constant. On a related topic ... does anyone have a suggestion for how to erase a year completely from memory and start it over? I really love the candlelight effect here and the control of light. Her eyes are so very beautiful and the whole piece does give quite an intimate feeling and is very romantic. Such a lovely verse to accompany this one. Wonderfully accomplished!

An absolutely beautiful portrait! In my experience the only way to put a bad year behind you, is having great year, so all those miserable memories are pushed away by better ones. The only snag could be, it doesn't arrive by itself, you have seek out the good experiences yourself. But seeing what you are producing now I'd say you're on your way already. Keep it up friend!

Really nice work, especially the lifelike expression and lighting. As for erasing bad memories, get completely lost in ART now and then. It certainly worked for me after seeing my husband die of cancer (fourteen months). Oh, also concentrate on the good things that happened during that same time....it will (almost) make up for all the bad.

This is a very well lit portrait that gives the effect of candlelight. A super portrait with a lovely natural feel to it. When you get to my age it is hard to remember most years so give it time and try to remember the good parts, like when you created a new image, and then start a new year
