Description

Central Arizona, sort of. The yellow flowers are Brittlebush. The cactus is a Saguaro. The spindly plant in front of the cactus is an Ocotillo. Late afternoon light lends an orange cast. Saguaro cactus fruit is delicious. I like to make punch from Ocotillo blossoms. The bark is used for female troubles, and the branches can be used to make a fence. If they take root, they will leaf out when it rains, and you will have a living fence. Brittlebush - Encelia farinosa Saguaro - Carnegeia gigantea Ocotillo - Fouquieria splendens

looks like it would be a mess closer to the cliffs and as arid as it must be, there are many, many plants. Thank you for posting this rugged scene.
