Description

Enjoying some time from commissioned work to do some creative personal pieces at the moment - this idea came to me as I drifted off to sleep the other night! Mostly Cinema 4D, although the terrain was sculpted and textured in ZBrush utilising GoZ, which is truly going to liberate my workflow now! Photoshop for minor colour tweaks and some post fx. Adam :)

Here in US thanks to Bush et al, you can no longer buy the good old fashioned light bulb. I don't think your image would work with a compact Compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL). I always enjoy your work. Bravo.

Really cool. That image looks so real I was waiting for a guy to walk out the front door smoking a pipe after dinner and wave to me! Always glad to see your name in my inbox.

Freakin' awesome. Love the craft and creativity here. I do wonder at the reflections on the sides of the bulbs though.

This is a superb example of excellence in digital design my friend, worthy of the highest rating! I love the imagination to conceive the idea and how crystal clear and clean the glass of the bulb is, with perfect reflections. The scene within is perfectly placed and I like the undulations of the hills, which provides more realism and a better flow with the curvature of the glass than a flat landscape. Really a fine scene. The smoke is the perfect finishing touch to this! 10+

A great piece. I am particularly impressed by the way the bump map of the ground surface blends so well with the texture. It seems to me that people often allow the program to generate the ground and do not pay enough attention to the real nature of erosion and natural features. I am also trying to fathom how you got the soil cut-away portion beneath the surface so realistic; with the dark line just below the surface. I am unfamiliar with Cinema4D; being stuck with my free Bryce program which has many limitations. I think the reflectivity and refraction if the glass is perfectly done. I am giving this painting a score of 5, as I do not see any room for improvement.
