Tanza Muirak had only recently been promoted to the royal guard or “Blue Capes” as they were called. Every one on the squad whispered behind her back that her mother had got her the commission. They all thought she was a spoiled rich girl with a famous mother. She planned to prove every Zairian on the Terrain colony, that she belonged with the “Blue Capes”. She planned to prove it tonight. Tanza had slipped away at dusk and took the old stairs and ladder to the old Terrain ruins below the city. The ruined city had once been a major Terrain community called “Lost Angels”. She snuck out into the ruins with just her blades, if she had wanted she could have taken a blaster and shield, but she was here to prove her strength. Tanza walked thru the ruins , they had the feeling of a once growing technology, not as advanced as her own, but that wasn’t a surprise. Her people had decimated the population from orbit over a 100 years ago. They were little more than barbarians now. She looked across from the old store she was waiting in and saw her a tall Terrain Barbarian, a female about her age in rough leather armor. The barbarian was perfect, she would defeat her and return her body or maybe as a pet and everyone would know her true metal. Tanza waited in the shadow till the poor stupid creature was almost next to her position and she charged out. She was startled as the creature spun axes out. IT was as if it had know she was there and was waiting, but that was madness. She was the superior race here not this thing, but as the two moved to melee range she began to question that.
