Description

The goal was to make a cute girl as realistic as I could. I made this image in about 4 weeks. The first week, I studied the various features of different girls and made a picture with all those features included. In week 2 I started modelling using subdivision. I used nurbs for the eyelashes. To make the basic female head took me two days, but to make her look like the way I wanted her to look, took another week of modelling. I made the facetexture by merging photos and adjusted it to make a specular and bumpmap. For the hair I used 5 Shaghair emitters with hairshadows enabled and rendered them separately so I could adjust the 2 different layers later in photo or videosoftware. I tried many different lightsetups but I got the best result with Final Render, using global illumination and subsurface scattering. To get a better scattering result I made another map to control the amount of scattering. After a lot of tweaking I made the final render. Afterwards I adjusted the contrast/saturation and added some blur. Hope you enjoy ..:) For more development info and the other testrenders visit my website: www.geocities.com/rhino3d2002/index.html

She is very well done, and I love her look a lot. You have done a great job in modeling her. Fantastic...My only suggestion would be to perhaps raise up the top of her head slightly, but that's minor compared to the accomplishment...

It is very modeling and the textures are well applied... but the girl is very ugly, she is hideous :)

like the work put in, and WAY better than what i could ever do. But yes, the girl is indeed ugly. She looks like a retarded (but realistic!) version of leelee sorbeski or however u spell that name. But again, it is good work.

Well, I wasn't going to say anything, but she is ugly. She is very well made, don't get me wrong, but she's just ugly. I think that if you made the face less round, like this [], and the cheeks a lot smaller, she may actually look good. And the hair looks a little wierd near the bottom of the neck. Great work.

She looks great! I can understand how difficult it is to shape her face the way you want it. It sure takes a lot of observation and patience. Excellent model and texture.

I like this image... i have no hope of ever duplicating this but i'm going to suggest somethign... I think you need to reshape the left side just a little... and you need to set where the eyes are looking :) but i really like it nice work
