Fantastic Incendia work, Monica. I am reminded of Ethiopian ceremonial headdresses I have seen that are fashioned from tiny intricately woven seashells. Each shell is like a miniature Conch shell about an eighth of an inch long. It takes more than a thousand of them to make a headdress. The way you have this ornamentation interlaced with the hair is most impressive. Also,I am intrigued by the facial expression here and in particular the eyes. Maybe it is just me, but I get a sense of deep sadness although maybe it is compassion (or some mixture of the two). Very impressive indeed!
