SUNRISE on LOCH LOMOND, SCOTLAND. FULL ZOOMAGE RECOMENDED!!! Oh, ye'll tak' the high road, and I'll tak' the low road, And I'll be in Scotland afore ye; But me and my true love will never meet again On the bonnie, bonnie banks o' Loch Lomond. Loch Lomond is a freshwater loch lying on the Highland Boundary Fault, the boundary between the lowlands of Central Scotland and the Highlands. It is 39 kilometres (24 mi) long and between 1.21 kilometres (0.75 mi) and 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) wide. Of all lakes in Great Britain, it is the largest by surface area, and the second largest (after Loch Ness) by water volume. Within the United Kingdom, it is surpassed only by Lough Neagh and Lower Lough Erne in Northern Ireland. Well worth the visit, but be prepared for the vast army of midges!!!!! Have a nice day.

Yeah the midgies are a problem; sent me back into the car a few times when I went walking on Skye. That airship just looks so wrong (& right) here - very cool. My favourite Loch Ness stat; it could hold all the water from all the lakes in England & Wales put together.
