Description
This is another in my series showing the USS Essex as it near the planet Mars. In this shot I try to convey how enormous a distance it is just to travel to a planet in our own galactic back yard. The distance from Mars to Earth is a mere 103 million km -- just a hop, skip, and a jump by cosmic standards
