Description
From the mountain tops of the Kings range to beautiful coastal beaches this area was stunning. The closer Sea stack here, called Needle rock, has it's top laying before it as a result of the 1906 earthquake. The only closer shot taken was in the early morning hours before the sun cleared the Kings range. This sea stack allows waves to break through it like the roots of a tree stump.
We camped right on the bluffs taking in both sunset and a crescent moon setting a couple hours later. The moon lost her bright glow and turned slowly red as it set finally melting into the sea. Wish I could take Dad there for his birthday tomorrow. :~)
