Description

A view from the top of Piketberg, in the Western Cape, South Africa. In the centre is the town which takes name from the mountain, Piketberg. This is the Swartland, the bread basket of our country with the green wheat field patching the landscape. This is looking almost due SSE from the pass, Kasteelberg (Riebeeck Kasteel & Riebeek Wes) in the distance. Have a great week - only 8 more sleeps and then I fly to the UK! Clive

What a beautiful scene! I look at the maps ... at Google Earth ... try to imagine your landscape, the way the mountains rise from that flat plain ... but this is SO much better! Such a gorgeous country.
