Description

Last month I had to go with a couple friends to Yosemite National Park to drop off a couple cars for friends hiking a part of the John Muir Trail. Since I'm not able to do any excess hiking, I brought the good camera in hope of getting a few good shots. Unfortunately there was a fire in another area that was really making the skies smokey. So no outside shots were going to come out very good if the sky was going to be in the picture. Therefor I decided to go inside the Ahwahnee Hotel, since the inside is fascinating, and see what kind of shots I could get in there. I'm glad I did, because the lighting was excellent! This shot was a candid shot that my friend didn't know I had taken. When I saw her standing in front of the window, I couldn't help think of that window as being a portal to somewhere else! So there you have it. Another pic I had to play with! I hope you like it! ps. Sorry for the absence, time just seems to get away from me sometimes. Hope all is well! Kim

You had to go to Yosemite.. lol I would be more than happy to drop anyone off there. Its been years since I have been there but not a place you ever forget, you should read Ansel Adams bio, lots of fascinating facts about his photography and Yosemite, very nice shot.

I'm a great-big Star Trek nerd, and so the first thing I thought of when I saw this shot was of a person standing in front of the windows of the 10-Forward lounge on board the Enterprise, looking out of the forward viewport just as the ship was entering high warp. Blur effects and windows do that to me, ya know. And aside from that, this is a marvelous capture with perfect special effects. I love the light and the way it dances around this shot. Great stuff!
