Description
The Chronicles of Inthandonia: The Wizard Wars.
Pursuit
Run...Run...Run...Run
The words run through a series of compartments in my mind, a mantra chanting in time with my footfalls. I'm cruising, running as fast as a horse at full gallop across the Inha Sosul, the Mountains of the world. My breathing is as effortless, easy regardless of how steep I climb or the endless leagues I've covered. The Eskeleton suffusing my body was working four times harder than my physical body so as to maintain my long leaping strides yet the stress on my body was comparable to resting in your favourite armchair.
Every cell was working at optimum potential, every muscle amd organ encased and absorbed in a web of cybernetic mechanisms devoted to maintaining perfect conditions for each to operate five or six times more effectively than it could before.
At times I felt as if I was flying, no sound but the wind of my passage and the rhythmic thud of my feet inducing a hypnotic calmness within me.
At other times I fear I slipped beyong trance and into the borders of delerium. My body, the original human creature that I live in is being wracked with recurring spasms of pain. My immune system is trying to reject the nanonet Eskeleton as the two systems, biological and cybernetic, seek to adjust to each other. In these delerious and nauseus states my mind stuggled with the mental impact of this totally intimate takeover of my person - what am I? Am I still human or am I a machine? Am I a god or an abomination? What was the extent of my powers? Are those powers a gift or a curse?
In my more lucid states I reasoned that the Eskeleton was nothing more than a suit I wore on the inside as well as the out! It was only much later, as I began to really acclimatise to my new suit, that I realised it was a type of symbionic parasite. From me it took form and purpose and in return it gave greatly enhanced strength and an array of sensors and sheer computational power.
I could see my way ahead in my human eye, read the landscape and judge my best path forward. Coupled with this I could also see, through my symbiont eye, in a range of other frequencies. I could see in infrared light as well as ultraviolet, ground radar probed the terrain before me and ultrasonoc sonar enhanced my vision of the lands topography. This sensory input was processed at blinding speed by the distributed nanonet returning an overlayed image showing in simple primary colours where it was safe to run full speed and where the footing may be slippery or treacherous.
Overall I felt a sense of enormous and intimate connection with the world. My augmentations provided a far deeper connection to the world around me - every colour and detail standing out in vivid hyper-reality. The feeling was sublime!
The words chant hypnotically in a room in my mind: Run...Run...Run...Run.

I think that 'suit' has also turned the Wiz into a giant, just by the size of those tree, so things might be a bit cramped when he gets home ! Neat POV and texture work ! ~Cheers~
