Description

I am running out of shots. Only a few left. :-( Hope I can manege to take some good shots tomorrow, while I am in Kalundborg to get my gall bladder scanned. The green house is now empty and we got the last tomatos and cucumbers. It wasnt any succes this year, as we got alot of cabbage larvas attacking so much of the plants, that I at last refused to even go out there. Now we will have to find out how to clean up against them, so next year wont be the same again. Dont know how it could go that wrong. But we had some good tomatoes, but half of them were eaten, so were the pepper fruits. Even the squashes in the outer garden were eaten by snails. Seems that all animals and insects find our garden an attractive restaurant. TSK! TSK! Have a super day. We have sunny weather now, but yesterday afternoon we got thunderstorm and cloudburst. Now we dont need more rain, I asure you :) Worst summer for plenty of years, they say. Thank you so much for viewing, comments and favs to my previous post. It is Highly appreciated :)

What a stunner of a shot, Helle! We have had thunder and a torrential downpour here this morning, such a shame on the first day of the Air Show. Next year hang a net over the door of the greenhouse to stop the butterflies going in* I have had more slugs this year than I ever remember, some of them the size of canoes (!) And yet we have very little proper rain until today. I know how disappointed you must be..I gave away many of my aster seedlings and they are blooming away in other peoples gardens but I only have 6 out of 36 left! Very best wishes for the scan, I will be thinking of you.

a wonderful picture, Helle! Yesterday I saw a rose beetle in my garden. Only for a short moment. He immediately disappeared in a hydrangea blossom...

Oh gosh, Helle ... this shot is just spectacular! The composition, with that butterfly bush to one side is superb. I love the bit of wing movement. It makes me feel like I'm there, and that the butterfly is flitting around right in front of me. Gorgeous photograph! Glad for the gall bladder scan. I have hope that they'll find your trouble with this, and you'll soon be feeling fine! Worst summer ever here, as well. The other morning we woke up and it was 44F outside. In AUGUST!! That's absolutely unheard of.

A wonderful capture with superb colouring and it is a very beautiful butterfly. Maybe all the bugs wanted to shelter in your greenhouse to escape your summer.

The hard work of a gardener is usually handsomely rewarded but when pests come to make a home...it is difficult to evict them:) This is a beautiful butterfly.

This is gorgeous. I've never seen one of these kinds before! I especially like the patterns and the colors! This is such a beautiful specimen resting on that gorgeous blossom! Did you manage to get any captures of the cabbage larvas? Well, maybe you don't want to immortalize the little people who have decided to enjoy Cafe Helle's salad buffet. It's funny, as I read your comment, I was eating a tomato. For me, tomatoes will always have the taste of summer. I really like this shot.
