This image was done as a joint effort between mgtcs and Edson (aka wotan) and it is dedicated by the latter to his daughter Dimitria and his wife Lilian, with all his love and care. It is a little bit of fantasy and beauty for two people who certainly inspire the life of that artist and friend of mine. To both Dimitria and Lilian, my congratulations for the excellent artist who is also a dedicated husband and father. It is a pleasure to be able to work with this wonderful person I have found here at RR. This is quite a nice piece! I love the work you've put into this, merging so many elements into one fantastic world. Great sense of motion too. I like this quite a lot, especially the crisp, but dreamy quality this has. I can easily imagine this as a really large mural in some exotic city by the sea...naturally, a city full of outdoor cafes and fish markets. I love it when somebody's work inspires my mind to wander. This is most excellent.

This is simply magical, Monica. Myriad appropriate story-lines spring forth in my mind. Although the scene has distinct "Disney-esque" overtones, it also is imbued with a sense of reality that is remarkable. I think that is partially due to a color palette that exactly reproduces shallow underwater hues. The dolphin and the orca are in perfect distance perspective, and the mermaid is awesome. The subtle descending light rays link everything together. As one who has done a great deal of reef scuba diving the scene is utterly believable (and what I wouldn't give to come upon it some day!). Brava!
