Description

'Gorilla' I took this shot at a nearby zoo using a long focal length lens with the camera mounted on a tripod. For some reason this animal wanted to turn his back on me, or worse, his bum :) So I had to wait for feeding time when his mind was occupied by eating rather than avoiding me. love it! Apes are my favorite animals with Chimps being #1, then Gorillas. He is too cute. I have a shot of a Chimp who walked over to where I was facing, looked right at me and sat down and posed.LOL. I dont remember if I posted that shot here, but it is on my deviantart gallery. Thanks for the lovely portrait....

Perhaps he thought his bum was his best feature! Seriously, this is really lovely, the soft shadows and wonderful detail to his face and fur, just amazing.
