This image is a reworking of an image Len posted a week or so ago. At fractal forums someone has posted on the download file a wonderful set of color maps. I've been trying a few of them out today and find some very helpful and unique ones in the mix.
Zoom is highly recommended on this one to see details.

Very cool man, maps work real well with these surfaces, great job. That was kameelian that posted those Maps, some work real well, they are square tough and MB3D is setup to load maps the same way as loading a BG in full Sphere mode to fit the aspect ratio of the image and distorts a square, I took them and tiled 2 side by side then resized them to 800x400 before using any. Peace

Whew! Let me catch my breath, I am still laughing at renecyberdoc's joke. This is definitely an oceanic image. The colors are unusually subtle for MB3D and I really like the shading effects. Having spent a lot of time dreaming up sea creatures, I must say these are some of the best I have seen. I have seen ocean catches in sweep nets that would be indistinguishable from this image. This is great work, my friend.
