Description
Ho hum, just another Civil War reenactment I attended. I think it makes my third.
Captured 9/19/10, up at Fort Tejon, near the city of Lebec, California, about 92 miles from my place.
Extremely ZOOM worthy.
Seeing Jock's cool paintings of his Confederate cannon soldiers in action reminded me of these shots I took last year. They are just five pics out of a total of 22 I took of the rebels taking aim at the bluecoats. Some of the fotos I snapped of the cannon being fired are blurred (not shown here) because the blast literally knocked me backwards.
Incidentally, Fort Tejon is an old Army outpost, originally established way back in 1854 to protect the settlers from the Indians.

Really caught the action here Harry. In battle, these cannons frequently caused as much damage to the artillerymen as it did to the targets. Dangerous business 150 years ago. Your sequence in the collage is excellent.
