Description

OK, not my best shot but I caught this dragonfly, flying through the pond grass, out on our front lawn. Thanks Leeco - it is a Widow Skimmer. I bet that you thought, that I could not describe a photo, in less than a thousand words? Zoom works very well. Thanks for stopping by my gallery, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Oh, I love seeing dragonflies...we have quite a few around our koi pond and sometimes they are very friendly, landing on the edge of a glass, a drink stirer or even a finger. We always freeze and enjoy the beauty of these beings... Nice capture!

Now you're getting into Andrea territory. I've never seen a dragonfly of that ilk before. Kind of looks like a multiwinged bird. Great shot under the circumstances, Dana.

A super capture of this dragonfly on the wing. I can see why it is called a widow skimmer.
