My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

A 215 mile river I'd like to see more off one day. Camera in-hand of course. Very nice capture showing the early spring green...:*

How beautiful! Love that spring green! We never got to the Rogue River when we were in Oregon. Another terrific area is the Klamath Basin which is along the Pacific flyway, on the border of CA and OR and a wonderful place to see and photograph birds, particularly in migration season. There are two refuges that are excellent - Tule Lake and Lower Klamath.

There is nothing like spring green...it's almost spring charchruse and what's not to like about that! Everything is so moist...all of the cute, little woodlice are coming out of their sleeping places and all sorts of interesting little critters haven't gotten their summer clothes out, so they're still pale! I love spring for that! And this is a perfect shot for capturing that! I love those fresh, green buds and the water that's probably still quite cold as it first begins to enjoy its first stretches of that post-snow condition. This is gorgeous! And I love the name of the river; it sounds like the kind of river that has its own ideas about things! It's all in the name, ya know! This is superb. It has the nice composition of a painting, and I adore the light.
