Description
Hibiscus sp. There are so many different bred varieties that I wouldn't begin to guess which one this is.
This plant has the biggest hibiscus flowers I have ever seen! Compare the size of the ordinary Monarch butterfly on the lower left.
Hibiscus flowers are used to make a wonderful tea that is very refreshing and cooling on a hot summer day, and rehydrates the body. Hibiscus is used medicinally for respiratory problems and blood pressure, and as a diuretic, and it is also used in shampoo. The bark fibers are very strong. The flowers attract butterflies.
