Description

Old coffin maker's shop. I found the 'size' of this coffin a little confronting, as it was fairly obvious which section of the population it was intended for. :(

This is my retirement job Andrew - putting people in boxes screwing down and funerals. Did you know that an anagram of funeral is 'real fun'. Lol. Also one coffin said to the other coffin "Is that you coughin".

Three friends from the local congregation were asked, "When you're in your casket, and friends and congregation members are mourning over you, what would you like them to say?" Artie said: "I would like them to say I was a wonderful husband, a fine spiritual leader, and a great family man." Eugene said: "I would like them to say I was a wonderful teacher and servant of God who made a huge difference in people's lives." Igor said: "I'd like them to say, 'Look! He's moving!'"

What a waste, with a few design changes that could have been a little dory for a youngster to learn boat handling and rowing! I think the time is well past for putting people underground in costly boxes. That's my opinion anyway, many will disagree.

Well the story got a response when I pasted it on Farcebook, two minutes latter. I actually LOLed at it when I read it. As for the pic. Great shot with lovely textures, and light. My mothers family business is undertaking. When I was a kid they had a big family gathering at the factory where they made their coffins. (not as creepy as it sounds.) All the stock was moved out the back to a storage area, and I snuck off for a look. Rows and rows of them, but the one I remember to this day was the one which was half the size of the others. It's an idea that just never goes away.

OUTSTANDING. Authentic, totally non-touristy feel. This has a powerful mood to it.
