Good shot. Tragic incident. IMHO it looked like mechanical failure since he had partial control of the acft according to early reports. Also a possible bird strike had been reported. In most cases pilot error is instantaneous like flying too low,exceeding the planes ability,etc. plus he was a very experienced pilot.
