I just realized the reeason I was studying non-mathematical numbers like part, numbers, material specifications, addresses and policy numbers was they represented "yield" that magical open space over the hills and between the trees that you can travel when you are "asleep at the wheel." It's a further extension of the desert racers credo, "never look at anything close in as you will hit it."
