I have been “doing†art for as long as I can remeber, but it has been during the last two years that I have embraced the digital side.
My work is very gothic and surreal….with an emphasis on dark, vibrant colours and line. Too many artists have influenced me to even begin naming any.
I have been recently trying to find that “right†voice to express myself, so here goes….

Frank Herbert's original Dune series stands as one of my all-time favorite science fictional series. I even liked (sort of) the infamous "final chapter" to Dune, written by Kevin J. Anderson and Frank Herbert's son. I can't stand the prequels: not so much for the stories but the style of writing is nowhere near Frank Herbert's standards...I don't think they had to emulate his style at all, but they should have at least written with some kind of style: one of the major selling points of the original Dune novels was their style, after all...people who liked reading books with good words in them read the Dune books. Okay, rant finished. I like this image quite a lot and when I saw the thumbnail and title I simply HAD to look. I have to say that this is top notch stuff; I love your interpretation of the Duneverse and that little extra step you went to actually put markings on this vessel that could belong to any of the Great Houses of the Lanstraad, or any of the House Minor entities. Of course, whether these are smugglers or not, I'm now wondering who is making a profit from smuggled spice. What Guild Navigators are looking the other way and receiving their cut? Great, evocative stuff...I love the sooty "melange" color you've got in this image too. All-in-all, I like it.
