Description

This is the Juniper tree that was in a pic that I uploaded a couple of days ago. I show you this because it is an illustation of how much erosion has taken place during the life time of the tree. This is on the edge of Bryce Canyon, Utah.

I remember the post and at that time i thought that this poor tree will soon lose it's grip on life for the same reason that you have just stated-TFS

That looks a bleak landscape - surprising anything can grow there

Lots of risk for trees there, but it really does look as though he's had enough with this neighborhood and is heading off to a more comfortable hill!

Plants really are amazing how they cling to life in the most inhospitable places. Well done on this. It really shows the erosion very well.

Fascinating and beautiful! Funny how the mind works ... I never would have thought of erosion, but when you mention it, the truth is obvious. Excellent image!

Oh lovely composition Jeff, Such beautiful shades of green in what looks from this angle like a pretty barren landscape. The fact that erosion is uncovering the roots just adds to the desolate atmosphere! After saying all that it'll be all lush just 5 mins away - lol :) Martin
