Description

"How do you kill something that can’t possibly be alive?" It was autumn 1978 in the Pittsburgh suburb of Libertyville, Pennsylvania. The kids were back in school, football season was kicking into high gear... and the guys who hung out down at Darnell’s Do It Yourself Garage were talking about the nerdy high school kid and his new set of wheels, the 1958 Plymouth Fury that had been a total wreck when Arnie Cunningham first brought it in just a few weeks ago. And although nobody could recall seeing him doing any serious work, it was now nothing short of cherry, in every detail. “Perfecto” as Arnie would say. But then, this was no ordinary car. “Her name’s Christine!” Inspiration for this scene was drawn from the novel Christine by Stephen King and John Carpenter’s 1983 movie adaptation.
