Description

Bryce 7 Pro. Used Flink's Measow Grass (from R'osity Store) for the reeds with my own mats, and Foleypro's Filler Forest for the distant trees. Mountain mat made in the DTE and the Kingfisher is a 2D Alpha plane made from a photo. Thanks for looking and any comments....Brian

(Nice new furry avatar icon - I feel like he looks today too, after having the privilege of tasting some Jura whiskey and a just-unlost bottle 1997 Mulderbosch FaithFul Hound red wine!) I love the carefull attention to details which make your scenes rich in content and depth - layout is great and everything. What worries me is the lighting / shading and general feel of the scene (maybe haze and solour tint settings) - It seems you're maybe not getting the most you can out of your wonderful scenes - they look too flat compared to what they could be given the actual depth they have!. I 'm not sure exactly what to suggest to remedy this - but Brinnen and Horos advice on HDRI lighting and advanced setting (Vimeo videos) may help quite a bit to bring things to life more and enhance these scenes. Good luck!

Another excellent scene, your composition and attention to all the little details add to the realism. As to Kinchie's comment above,I don't find the lightness out of place with this scene...however,if you want to add more punch to a scene,I find disabling Gamma Correction in the render options window has helped eliminate this with my renders.Additionally, playing with the RGB settings also produces some desired impact to a scene.Excellent Brycing as always my friend!

A very beautiful scene with superb detail and such a great atmosphere. The little kingfisher makes a great focal point and the water and the reflections look so real. Outstanding work.
