UFC is about start and I find watching grown men brutally bashing each other quite relaxing before going to bed..... a funny twist....
I have managed to get through nearly 50 years without ever throwing a punch in anger nor been in a fight and I am hopelessly addicted to mixed martial arts.....
please do not judge me for this
my children are raised without smacking and I am against all violence.....except this......lol
so I am off the punch and grapple land

I think there is something primal about the sport that calls to the ancient inner warrior - nothing wrong with that. Great that you are into martial arts. I love dance myself and hope to get back into a middle eastern class somewhere when life calms down. Just to do it for myself. I love it and it is good for the body. And here is why I admire you my friend. You have such a deep scope of vision - from pictures of wine and flowers, gardening, making your home truly your castle, seeing the human body as sculpture and being able to capture the inner fire of the hero and the angst of inner demons! You have it all, Carl - truly touched by the gods. D

I don't care what makes you quiet and relaxed before you go to bed, Carl - as long as you stay nice... lol I've had to use a translator to find the word I've had in my mind while watching this photo, and I'm not quite sure if it expresses what I want - heady, intoxicating, in a positive way... That's what I feel when I see this lovely bouquet in the full size... I can almost disappear in that heady lavender scent... Once, when I was in Provence, France during the period they reaped the lavender, I got almost high on that mighty scent that was hanging all around...
