Description
This is in the Verde Valley, Arizona where Southern Sinagua farmers began building this five storey, twenty room dwelling early in the 1100's. It stands in a cliff recess about 100 feet (approx 30 m) above the valley. Early settlers marveled at the structure and thought it was of Aztec origin hence the name Montezuma Castle. Just behind me there is a river and fertile land.
Have a good Sunday. Jeff.

A great shot Jeff! You would be amazed how many ruins lay in the canyons of the four corner region. Personally can't count how many I have been in and around off the beaten path.
