Description
The Sanctuary of Roses was definitely a strange place... People knew that the roses that were blooming there were the most beautiful roses that were ever offered to people's glance. They had the particularity of being immortal and to never fade. Immortal was also the keeper of the red roses which unique colour was similar with the deep red tint of blood. Surprisingly these roses had no spines and it is why they needed to be protected by someone who would dissuade anybody to steal one of these jewels. Many tried to get one of the red roses from the Sanctuary to offer their fiancée but no one ever succeeded. All the ones who tried returned home having lost their honour but not only...
The idea of the deadly rose came to my mind as a play on words: my friend Stacy's character's name being Lily Rose, I immediately thought about Dead"lily Rose"... The name of my render (as well as the subject) was found.
I have used here the gorgeous Lily Rose (by my friend Stacy-kaleya) for the second time as well as one of the beautiful poses by my friend Michael/Tavia3D that can be found in the RDNA store (Essentials IV Elegance). I just altered the pose of Lily Rose's left arm because she had to hold the sword in her left hand... It does show that even if slightly modified, the pose is still as nice as its original version...
I dedicate this render to my friends but also to all the ones who will look at it... :)
I could not find a suitable sword (the one that cuts the hand of the ones who want to steal a rose from the Sanctuary) because it had to match some criteria: it had to remind the rose spines, to look like the branch of a rose tree and to be a very effective weapon. It is why it does have that very strange shape. It is anyway still tinted with the blood of those who did not know what would happen to them when trying to take a rose from the Sanctuary.
Well here is the story behind this fantasy render. I hope that you like it.
The lighting is a bit elaborate this time because different lights were used. It took some time to achieve but I wanted the image to look a special way.
Scene composed in Poser Pro 2010 and rendered in VUE 9 Complete.
Thank you very much for your interest in my gallery as well as for your comments and favourites that are always very much appreciated.

This is just outstanding Phillipe. I really love your story and the image illustrates it beautifully. The sword in her hand is a nice little detail the way it looks thorny like a rose vine. The lighting and attention to detail is perfect. Love it!
