Description

This scene is fundamentally the same as my previous image. Just using different textures and a slightly different pose for the gal. It really is an experiment using Colm's newest IDL light set *the 360* thing. I really do have to upgrade some parts of my old 'puter...a new graphics card and some extra RAM would do wonders...a scene like this using IDL just takes too long. Please give this scene a ZOOM to fully appreciate the outfit's lovely textures. Well, Irene has finally made her departure from my area. By 7 PM EST she seemed to be gone. Cool, dry air. My kind of weather, finally! Did have more rain and some gusty winds during the late afternoon...the back end of the storm. Well, guess there was a fair amount of water damage throughout NYC, but luckily I do live in a area that is not affected by floods or storm surge (Forest Hills, Queens for those who asked.) Seems there will still be no subway service for me tomorrow. And if that is the case, I most likely won't be going into the office. I tried that several years ago when the subway workers were on strike--took me 7 hours to get into the office (mind you, I only live 10 miles from my office). A truly thankless endeavor, and I swore I would never do that again for some capitalistic piggy company (one of your more favorite banks whose initials are BoA--I am just a contractor, you know, a little roach in their eyes). At least Chloe will appreciate my presence at home :D Well, many thanks for your kind comments on my previous image. Do appreciate your spending time to make them. Do hope you enjoyed your visit today too. Take care and have a lovely week. Just wonder, do you folks read the commentary, or do you just rush to do a comment? If you read this, just say so in your comment. A little test :)

Very nice render, the lighting brings out the colors of the textures nicely. Yes, I read the commentaries. I've got Colm's IDL Studio, and a couple of Sydd's products that go with it. Hope to get his 360 studio in the near future. (did I pass the test? lol)

Heh Yes I usually read the comment under the image but I think alot of people don't. Just as they seem to copy/paste the same comments on several images :P As for your image I very much like the combination of the blue accents on her clothes together with her red hair. It sets off the image very nicely and I also quite like the horizontal format. Good job on this image!

If I like the image, then I read the comments, because it tells something about the artist or the art. I don't ever cut-and-paste a comment, but I sometimes look (and read), without commenting if I'm in a rush. If one comments on every single image, in a thoughtful way, then it takes enormous time and you don't get to look at everything if you have a limited amount of time. That may be why people don't comment or cut-and-paste one. Today I found out that someone is moving and stressed about finding a home for her cat.....and that you and New York survived the storm. A couple days ago an artist who lives in the high desert was talking about how two people died when their car stalled and they had to walk out....and her roof leaks. All of this adds to the image and where the artist is "coming from" at that moment. I'm not into social networking, but I do like to read about art and artists, so that's a definite "Yes". I think this image is very well done, also. Like your comments, your work shows a lot of planning and forethought. Putting time into your work and comments puts you high on the ART ladder for me.
